Updated: Sep 28, 2019
Supernatural alum Osric Chau has joined The CW's Arrowverse as the new Atom! Big news (or should we say small)!
The actor has landed the recurring role for 5 episodes as part of the long-awaited Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed. He joins the cast as Ryan Choi. the successor to Ray Palmer as Atom.
Comic book fans will know that Choi succeeds Palmer. after he disappears. Routh has been confirmed to be exiting Legends of Tomorrow, but he will appear in the crossover! Does this mean we could see 2 Atoms in Crisis?
Chau is best known for his recurring role on six seasons of the long-running CW series Supernatural as Kevin Tran, a brilliant, overachieving high school student whose life suddenly changes when he becomes a Prophet of God. Sounds real similar to his new role as a young man destined to become a superhero! Chau has also appeared in Roland Emmerich’s 2012 and is currently a series regular on BBC America’s Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.
The “Crisis on Infinite Earths” Arrowverse crossover begins with Supergirl on Sunday, Dec. 8, followed by Batwoman on Monday, Dec. 9, and The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The crossover then continues with part two after the holiday break with Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow on Tuesday, Jan. 14. Arrowverse fans - you're not going to want to miss this!
