'Friends' Reunion In Works At HBO Max!
Updated: Nov 14, 2019
We never thought it would happen, but it is! Let's dive right into the details we have so far!
A one off special is in the works at HBO Max, the upcoming streaming service from WarnerMedia, according to Deadline.
Talks are currently taking place for an unscripted special, reuniting the entire cast to help launch HBO Max's reruns of Friends, since they acquired the streaming rights to the hit series for a whopping $425 million! (We could use that kind of money to bring back Corner Shop Show *cough cough*)
Variety reports that our beloved original cast members Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are in discussions to appear in the special, alongside David Crane and Marta Kauffman, who co-created the show. The powers that be at Warner Bros. and HBO Max haven't commented on the details but we hope to hear something soon!
Jennifer Aniston - Rachel Green herself - recently broke the internet when she uploaded a selfie of herself, and her 5 co-stars on Instagram in what was her first post on the social media site, prompting speculation on a possible reunion!
Aniston was recently on the Ellen Show
“I would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is,” she said to DeGeneres. “So we’re just trying. We’re working on something.”
I think we speak for everyone when we say we cannot wait for more details.
